Is Your Home Making You Sick?

Everyone knows how important it is to have a house that truly feels like a home. Home is where you can truly be yourself, kick your shoes off, and just relax. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Sometimes, your home can make you sick. Bacteria is found everywhere in modern society. From stores to factories, schools to restaurants, bacteria is literally everywhere. Sick Home and Building Syndrome is on the rise.

Like commercial, industrial, and medical facilities, bacteria can also be found in your home. This bacteria resides in every room of your home and can lead to any number of health problems. Bacteria, viruses, mold, and other contaminants can make you and the people you love sick. Bacteria, viruses, and mold can all be found in your home and will cause medical problems over time if not treated. The longer you stay in a home with these common issues, the more likely you are to get sick.

These problems can come from hard surfaces (floors, and walls), soft surfaces (furniture and clothing), food preparation surfaces (countertops and tables), and circulating indoor air.

Common Sick Home Syndrome Symptoms:

  • Throat and Eye Irritation
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Coughing
  • Wheezing
  • Skin Rashes

If your home is making you sick, you need to address the problem head-on. Ignoring the problem will only lead to more sickness. Odds are, you have bacteria, viruses, and maybe even mold in your home. Most homeowners do, but there is something you can do about it.
